Sweetest man in the world

May 6th, 2008 at 03:53 pm

When my husband got home last night he found nothing done, and me coughing up a storm and complaining that I had a headache..and the only meds in the house were not approved for pregnant folk.

So he practically spun on his heels and headed for the door. brought back two different kinds of medicine (one pill one liquid, I don't swallow pills well) plus some cough drops, plus dinner.

Yeah the months wasted spending due to this sickness is up to 100, well over planned, but...only one more month (ish) to go. 36 weeks on Sunday. I have got to get rid of this coughing before the baby comes, there is no way I can go thru labor like this.

PrincessPerky, are you monitoring your blood pressure at home? Hope so. I just went back and read you entry from a couple days ago. You said you are swollen and could not walk across the room without being out of breath. Yesterday you say you are wheezing and that filtering the air with the AC is not helping. You say you have allergic asthma. But all that swelling could also go along with swelling in the walls of the tiny airways of your lungs. It is not necessarily an allergic asthma. It could be very high blood pressure --I'm sure you know eclampsia of pregnancy. Nobody, nobody should be out of breath by simply walking across the room to answer the phone. That headache can be related to your brain not getting enough oxygen! Know anybody else who might not be getting enough oxygen? Please let yourself spend a bit more money and see a doctor. I can't believe urgent care centers would not have nebulizers to give treatments for asthma, but you also need to find out if your blood pressure is sky-rocketing.

Are you using a midwife? S/he probably will refuse to do your delivery if you begin labor in the shape you are in now, so take care of yourself.

Awww, that is very sweet of him indeed.

I don't know much about pregnancies, and based on only the couple of them that I was a part of... your situation doesn't sound so good. I don't recall things being that bad for my ex. But hopefully, nothing serious and that you'll get over the sickness soon. Take care!

You should be seeing your doctor every week now right? Have they listened to your lungs lately? Do not make light of how you feel!

When I was pregnant, the saying was among my friends that if you got a cold late in pregnancy, you couldn't get rid of it until after the birth. I hope this does not hold for you. Take care!

    PP,

Do take care of yourself! Your husband was very sweet to go out and get you cough meds, etc.

I've had that racking cough now for going on three weeks, and it sure isn't any fun.

Hope you get feeling better soon.

My blood pressure is low..except right after coughing, coughing raises blood pressure (something about having to try and bring up all that 'stuff'-actually recomended that one try to cough if you are having low BP fainting troubles)

I got an albuteral machine, and last night managed to sleep thru-ish the night (I had to wake to pee, I am pregnant Smile.)

I feel much better today, simply from being able to sleep!

I did however decide if I don't feel better tomorrow I will find the urgent care that doesn't mind pregnant women and go.

Unfortunately what I have is prolly bronchitis..which is generally viral..no real help from Drs there.

Thank you for all your concern, I promise I am not stupidly ignoring my health, really most of my symptoms are normal pregnancy issues, they just feel so much worse because I also have the cough.
