100 items in 100 days?

December 11th, 2010 at 06:51 pm

I just read of a very interesting challenge idea

Text is 100 in 100 and Link is http://love2learn2day.blogspot.com/2010/12/can-you-get-rid-of-100-items.html
100 in 100

I think it would be a great way to purposefully downsize. Once you get past de-cluttering all the junk that tends to pile up, you need something to get you past the hump and back into downsizing. 100 items donated or sold for donations might be a cool way to do it.

Not that I am past the junk phase right now. I was at one point, then I stopped de-cluttering once the easy pickings were gone.

I have been trying to move back in the phase of de-cluttering again. And I fear that point.
Or if money doesn't pick up I might sell and keep the profit....

sorry if that isn't very nice, but the EF is nearly gone and no job in sight.

It's okay to sell what you own for cash, especially as a way of provide for the needs of your family. The decluttering challenge seems like a good one.

I hope something comes along soon in the job situation. 100 items in 100 days, heck I could probably do 100 in 10 days! But then I have two boxes of books right now to go.

I sold lots of stuff on Craig's list, even firewood, which came from tree branches that fell on my own property. I also sold a gold necklace of mine, a camera, golf clubs and other odds and ends. Do whatever it takes!

I see nothing wrong with selling what you don't need. Are you going to try ebay, craigslist or a garage sale? Is he still getting unemployment?

Of course you should sell what you don't need. It's been a survival strategy for me for years. I have sold clothes to resale shops, books on half.com, held a lot of garage sales, and I run an antiques booth (which actually loses money, but that's another story). Go for it!
