Can you imagine the cost of that chair?

it comes with a suggestion that you grow your own, instructions for frame availible on request...but errr you have to be kidding, me grow a plant? noway..

But it looks cool, and I would love to own one..so how much do you think 5 years of patiently training 3 trees costs?

    truthfully? not all that much... plant 3 sapplings in a triangle with probably 12 inch sides. wait a year. gently grab the sapplings about 1.5 feet up the trunk, bundle them together and tie securely with garden twine. wait 4 years. cut down your tree.

    you know what would be cool? if one could find a way to do this with bamboo. you could have a stool every 3 months! Big Grin

    it would probably be easy to research the fastest growing hardwood trees and see how much sapplings would cost... i might have to try this with some of the bamboo in my yard, otherwise it's just sitting there growing and doing me no good at all!
