Car kit mode...

My phone is in car kit mode..I don't have a car kit. I don't drive, I have no use for a car kit!

But here it is stuck in a mode that makes no sound. I can dial and I can see people calling me, I just can't hear them. And apparently they cannot hear me.

I did a google search and found out I am not the only one with this trouble.

he discovered sticking some metal in the earphone plug fixes it..I am kinda hesitant about sticking metal in my phone to short circuit it?

    Have you looked through all the settings on your phone? There should be a way you can change it out of that mode. Maybe try calling your customer service for you cell phone - they should have some idea of how the phones on their plans work.

    The metal wont hurt you or the phone. Digital Dad is right. Just do it.
