Is Layaway back?

I just saw a commercial for layaway. With credit being so easy most folk just buy now pay later, but with layaway, shop now pay as you go, pick up and play later makes much more sense to me.

Plus there is that free storage. I wouldn't mind lay a way just so all the Christmas stuff had a place to live between now and Christmas!

    I use to shop in the summer for toys and always put them on layaway. It is so much easier. I just saw that ad too. I think it was for K mart!!

    It is a good way to keep kids from snooping at Christmas presents.

    Yes, I saw a layaway ad too, I think it was for Kmart. I don't even know of any Kmarts in my area though, so I'm not sure why they're advertising here.

    I think K-Mart here has a layaway.But I also think it charges a small fee for using it. The store I work for got rid of Layaway last year and no plan that I know of bringing it back.

    They are taking away our lay-aways here. They tell us that too many people are pulling them out, with the items being stored all that time, when someone with money could have bought them. Wal-mart didn't even charge you for it, they just gave you back the money you paid into it.
    How silly is that.
