We have been converting our library of CDs to MP3, and of course that makes you look closely at what you have.

Having kids I spend more time listening to

I love having everything in mp3s! I've also converted my CDs a long while back...

cool. How do you do that? We have lots of dusty cd's that I'd love to convert. I thought MP3's were only little individual players.

There are several ways to do it....

Probably the easiest one is to use something like iTunes, make sure it's set to encode in MP3 (it will not be set to mp3 by default), and just... rip away!

Of course, once they are in iTunes, it will also play back your mp3, but the biggest thing to me is the mp3 file itself. I can do whatever I want with it, use any player, and store it in any way I see fit. Woohoo!
