Then try it differently...

August 3rd, 2010 at 05:01 pm

So I just commented on why I don't watch other peoples kids..I'm too antisocial.

And then I thought a bit more about it...if someone was complaining to me about money I would have lots of answers. Ranging from:

'Tough, get over it you need the money' to ....

'Well then watch kids for shorter times.'

It is very easy to shut an idea down at first glance. But if I keep looking I might find a way to make it work.

I have a very low tolerance for other people's kids. I avoid them like the plague!

I think I would be very selective if I were watching other people's kids. Also, I would be very selective of other people watching my own (currently non-existent - I might add...) kids.

For starters, I have many friends that are, shall we say, lax on rules with their children. Their kids do not respect property, theirs or other peoples. And I could never tolerate that. I think there would be a lot of time out if I were looking after some of my friends kids Big Grin And on people looking after my own kids: I've had the opportunity to witness friends of mine, looking after other friends kids. They do certain things and then complain to me why the children never behave for them. *sigh*

Babysitting was never an option for me either really. Loved my own kiddos but had a low tolerance for others. perhaps cooking? selling your writing? keep thinking....the right idea just hasnt hit yet....good luck!

I felt that way when I was younger. Now I am so happy to have a young family next door and another moving in kitty corner to us.

DH, however, is less than happy. We went from a retired people mostly (we were the young family), to now we are the older couple and young families are moving in. Ha Ha. I love hearing the squeals of happy children playing. He doesn't. He likes the quiet.
