my Dad has lymphoma...

Thats about all I can say..
I just found out
he just found out
I didn't even really know what it was till he told me
and now my Dad in CA has lymphoma...I am in NC...with three small kids...I can't go see him..

and he has lymphoma..................

I am prolly spelling that wrong.

I am very sorry to hear that news and both Nate and my wishes are with both you and your father. When news like this happens, the first reaction is always to panic. Take a few deep breaths relax and find out what you can from the doctors - then take the steps necessary to help. While not specifically the same situation, I know the feeling when it comes to medical problems and ones close to you. Hang in there, stay positive and we will all be sending along good wishes.

My Dh found out his mom had Pacreatic Cancer right after we moved into our new home. It was a rollercoaster ride of emotions to say the least.... I will keep you in my prayers....

Oh, Perky...I am so sorry to hear this. It is very scary to learn that someone you love is ill...but to have them so far away too.

Princess, my heart goes out...my Dad is in CA too, having just been diagnosed with lung cancer as I've blogged ad nauseum, and being here on the East Coast...AGH. Don't panic until you know more...many lymphomas are treatable, and there are great docs out there...and I'm sure he would want you and his grand kids to stay safe and be happy while he figures all this out. Horrible, isn't it?

No one here cares about your spelling, right or wrong, just you and your Dad, and we care, kiddo. Love, light, prayers, all going your way.

Thank you so much for all your thoughts prayers and hugs. I feel soo much better today.

My wonderful husband found a neat website that talks about how treatable these things are now.

The Dr Dad talked to yesterday said preliminary estimate is prpbable for treatment..which is better than poor Flashes 1%! So I guess if Dad managed to walk again after Drs told him he couldn't he aught to be able to beat this when they are giving him a 50/50 chance!

We should know more soon, I'll keep you posted.

Sorry for being such a late responder. We were out of a computer for a day and a half.

We have had out battles with cancer here in our home also and I know exactly how you are feeling. We will definately pray for you and your father. Keep us posted.

I'm sorry. My mother was supposed to die of cancer 28 years ago. She refused. She always said that knowing was half the battle and attitude was the other half. Things have come a long way since then, medically. I pray your father will fight and win.

We found out nothing new yet, but I think he has an appointment with a 'cancer specialist' (err onocologist?) this week.
