When I was a kid the house was rearranged semi annually. well there was a decent amount of new apartments as well.
In this house I have done some rearanging usually riht before or after a kid is born.
Right now it has been months since a move was made..and the clutter is piling up. I believe it is time for a change...but I don't have any inspiration....my living room is the most annoying room of my house, but I can't figure out a better way to set it up.
essentially the kitchen side cannot have any furniture on it, opposite that is the big window and back door, killing that wall. the south wall has the cable plug (needed for internet) so it has EVERYTHING tv, computers stereo, ect. the opposite wall has the couch.
I really hate it, but don't know how to change.
Oh and I want to paint it, any color suggestions? it has a brownish/tan plaid couch, some fake wood and black entertainment stand, and an old school desk, oh and brown curtains...(all hand me downs)
haven't moved a thing in ages and a paint poll

Or maybe just moving the TV/entertainment center to the corner of the room, opposite the kitchen side? I've seen several living rooms set up this way lately, and it's pretty cute.
As for the colors, I'd say anything in the tannish range would work well. My dream living room would be done in very light blue walls, dark brown leather couches & wood trim on walls, and accessorized with hunter green & tan throw pillows, curtains, and maybe an accent wall. Good luck!

Or would it allow you to at least move the computer desk stuff to another location, get a smaller TV stand/area so it doesn't dominate the room?
Also, when I am in a rut, I go to Rate My Space on the HGTV.com web site. There are a lot of good and practical ideas there.

And since I have no eye for art, any ol tan will do, I aught to be able to find some cheap.
I did see this cute mural, that was just a wavy line for sky and then ground plus some very simple free form trees, wonder if I have the nergy to do that....
