million minute game challenge

I remember reading about this eons ago, but this time the flyer has good timing, the cub scout theme for January is 'Amazing Games'. So I will be asking the scouts if the would like to incorporate the challenge in their meetings.

I think I may also cheat and let the Girl scouts do it too, it will keep us busy for January and then in February we have a Garden Journey to begin.

The spending log:
Tuesday: $467
Wednesday: $0

I wonder how many kids ever play a board game anymore.

yes, we are heavily into Chess lately. yes, CHESS! and my 10-yo beats me regularly !!

We also pull out monopoly routinely, time permitting. And quick games of Trouble, maybe Yahtzee.

am off to click the 1,000,000 minutes thing, curious...

I am signing up! My daughter loves board games but we don't play as much as we could due to the fact that my son likes to demolish the board as soon as things start getting good with the game. Family fun night is turning into family game night!

We play board games, and Santa is brining my 1st grader some circular version of Blockus - Jr. Can't quite recall the name of it. Don't forget UNO, my 3 yo can play that.

We love board games and just bought a bunch of new ones form my Simply fun party. Well worth having.
Some of them are pricey but the quality is awesome.

My family is/was a board game and card game fanatic! The only time I really get to play those games anymore is sometimes when I visit my mom/stepdad, or the way too rare game nights at church.

When I was teaching I had numerous board games, to name a few: Candyland, Guess Who!, checkers, Rumikub, a number of math themed games, Battleship, etc.

We are still board game fanatics! Unfortunately, my BF and my sis' hubby don't like board games. But me and sis play a mean game or Trivial Pursuit!

PS Congrats on the no spend day!!!!! Big Grin
