Finally hit with the economic trouble

My husband has been asked to take a 'furlough'. Which is a nice way of saying don't come in one day a week for a month.

So we are using the first two weeks days (this Friday, and next Monday) to go to PA. Bit of last minute, but well seemed like a nice silver lining anyway.

One of the next weeks we will use for my husband to take my daughter to work, she hasn't had her turn.

And maybe with one I will get some 'Honeydew' work done?

    oh my I am so sorry. We have been told to take a weeks vacation in May and June. Not sure if that will last. Fortunately we have vacation time to use for these months.

    Yeah, our state university is doing something similar.
    Not quite sure how it'll work yet.

    I'm glad you're going away for a little silver lining trip. I read that you should try to have fun with "bad" news, since good news is good anyway. Last time our plane was canceled, we went out to dinner--and it was a nice little celebration.

    hmmm, i wouldn't mind taking a furlough myself. would that put a big dent in his income. would you be okay doing this. i guess you have no choice right now. i hope things don't get any worse than this for you and your family.

    This happened to two of my friends, whose husbands work at factories- they hae mandatory Fridays off.
