So are coupons worth the paper? Well once every 3-5 weeks there is a fancy 'super doubles' or Triples coupon week. And on those weeks generally we get a decent amount of food free.

Between the drug store and the triple/super double yeah I think it is worth the $2 a week for the paper, but....not going to make or break the bank....

I wouldn't really call anything we got free, but we did get some close to free items. Gas and time is not free anyway.

CVS: 2 body washes, 2 toothbrushes for a total out of pocket of 3.68, bringing back 6 ECB's.

No I didn't really make money, because we had to use ECBs to bring the total down to 3.68. And those we had to pay for, but all is rolled back in, and the 'net' out of pocket is pretty good.

Walgreens: shaving gel, flossers, 2 sunscreens. Paid 1.23 with RR of $8. I guess it is a net profit? Though the RR must be used at Walgreens.

Rite aid: 3 lotions, total = .78 earns back $5 SCR.

That one we really are making money on. SCR is a monthly mailed check, that can be used like a check. Though I have to actually go online and get the check.

I joined the adult reading club when the kids joined, mostly to convince my nieces and nephews to join up.

And I won! I got a free T-shirt and a bag. All for logging the books I read.

I don't have all of them, or prolly even enough to keep this batch alive, but I found a cool kid friendly site with all sorts of information about worms and worm binds

We have worms...in a bin in the back yard..they are supposed to eat garbage....food waste and such...

I was on my way to the store to buy a bin and then call some contacts to get worms, when my contact said she had a bin and the worms and all ready for me, just swing on by and get it.

very cool since my husband did not want to spend the money on worms.

I still have to call my wonderful friend and ask her what on earth I am supposed to do with them now that I have them.....

Specifically if you want worksheets for a kid search for the level and type.

eg. free worksheets kindergarten math

If you are not sure, pick a level and then google it, read the sheets for that level then decide if you need to go up or down.

Many sites have sheets designed for beginning year students so they will be a bit easy if you have been doing level 2 math for months. Bump up to level 3 as needed.

This actually works for music as well though the levels are most aimed at older students.

If you want a coloring page, use the image search. then you can preview what you are printing without going to multiple pages.

Change the subject to fit your needs, holiday, letters, shapes, etc.

One of the best things about searching is that in a month the top sites may change and you get a whole new batch of results.

If you don't get new results, try changing the order of words in your search option.

Practice does help, after a short time you will know which sites offer a free worksheet just to get listed but want money for most, or the sites that have lousy printable coloring.

truthfully it wasn't free but it was using up a freebie.

I used shampoo, the foil pakets I got form dove..it worked great, and the kids loved playing with it..I am not sure how reusable it will be, but it sure does smell pretty.

In amongst my 'junk you just have to see' that wonerful people send me, I found this website that sends a 'thank you' note to the troops in Iraq.

That thing I won from the library was a book, looks interesting, but I might save it for a gift.... also came with a cube that will prolly be a gift.

Today the kids handed in their completed reading charts. (25 hours of reading) GMC got a cool blinky pin, and a bendy dog. JC got a magnet and a dog 'crown'.

And coolest of all they got to write on the windows with really neat markers! Ok so I am a bit out of it, I never saw window markers before! (and good thing I didn't see them at the store after or I might have picked up a pack!)

Of course the books we borrowed (a stack bigger than JC!) was free too.

I never win anthing, course I also don't enter!

I joined the local library book club..not sure why, maybe cause my 2 kids and neighbor did?

My phone isn't free...so I hate getting calls from non important people...like the people who get my number from afreebie form...

I hate that..one big drawback of filling out freebie forms.

Since I am on my new goal of getting free stuff I actually read all the freebies that flash kimmie and others post...and some of them are worth it. I dunno just how useful 8oz of pom juice is, or that I will every buy it, but for 30 seconds of work I guess I may one day find out!

I added 3 minutes of internet time to do 3 freebies.

and I triued mypoints, apparently I did it wrong, there is a referal thing or something but it is too late for that. I am still trying to see how I can get points without buying stuff..cause in general we don't buy much.

I learned something yesterday..if a freebee comes from the manufacture or a store it might be real..if on the other hand it comes from 'to good to be true.com' then it is prolly too good to be true.

I spent another hour after my post yesterday, and in that time I came to half a dozen 'free with completion of sponser offers' before I got smart.

Now I just get to wait and see if anything comes in the mail...

or thursday, whatever!

It is raining, and I decided to take advantage of the freeebee section and get all the stocking stuffers I can..not much for the kids yet, but I signed up for a ton of stuff for the MIL and DM...they get stockings from us every year..sometimes I make em share with thier spouse...

Previously I sent all freebee links to DH to fill out, but for some reason he isn't online..so normally I would skip, but since there is no chance at a pool due to rain..why not.

It took about 20 minutes to search fill out and delete useless ones..but if half of it comes I will have 5 or so things to share between them. Now I am off to try the kid ssection
