Went to the store a new one cause they had beef on sale for less than 2$ a lb (my pregnant criteria) Decided we really prefer our store more, better prices on most everything but the beef. Oh and the lettuce we got was priced on the sign at 99cents, but according to the checkout lady it was really not on sale till Firiday. Why on earth they would put the sign up when it wasn't on sale is beyond me, and if I wern't in such a hurry (always in a hurry with 2 kids) I would have argued that the manager make it the sale price. As it is DH and I are much to nice to stores.
Now DH and DS are at BJS picking up some milk and such, I have high hopes that the total for the week will be around 50$ a start at making up the previous weeks total of 140.

err not going so well. I was going to make grilled cheese last night and it turns out the block went bad back in April, gross. (yeah kids and I notice) So I switched to cheese quesadillas, since the kids already saw the cheese (and I already had the griddle hot) good and all, but we used up all the remaining taco shells, which menas I have to make some, I hate making taco shells they never get thin enough and they take forever.
Oh and I tried to make bannanna bread, no idea where my brain was but I put in some baking soda instead of powder (yuck) and did the eggs wrong, and forgot to double the sugar. Not particularly edible.

(get your mind out of the gutters , it is a warehouse store.)
I forgot a few essentials on the list, we have to get a yogurt maker! Then there was the cheese, nice price at less than3$ a lb but still since it is BJs it is a HUGE bag. and the kids eat a lot of cheese, so it isn't going to last as long as I would like. Then the barbq sauce DH had to have, the butter I use constantly around here, and soap cause there was a coupon for it. I told DH and DCs that we will not be going to the grocery store next week, we will only be getting yogurt, milk and bread (maybe eggs). So we are about to find out what is lurking in the pantry.
Oh btw if you search for BJs website, make sure you put in the s!

The groceries were only 45ish$ so we made it under the 75 and now we have to go to BJS today which for milk, bread, chocolate chips and umm hopefully that is it, shouldn't be more than 25. (bout 10 for the milk, can't member the other prices)
Heartbeat! we are going to the midwife to hear baby3s heartbeat in an hour! I can't wait!

Grocery store tonight is going to be a rather large purchase we are out of a lot of stuff and I did the running list, added to it whenever I saw something we needed. THat always makes for a Loooong list! Hopefully since most of it is small it still wont be to terrible, and BJs should be small we just need milk, not even eggs, oh and butter.

DH took DS while DD and I napped, man it is impossible to recover from the trip! I still have a headache!
But we got some much needed stuff and with DH making a trip to the grocery store we should be done for groceries for the week hopefully under the 75 we have been aiming for. Now that my stockpiles are gone I had to up the weekly spending to 75 (ok baby 3 has something to do with it) but still is better than the 100 or more we used to be spending.
Got the CC bill yesterday and it was really cool to see the new total so dramatically different due to the income tax return, I know it wouldn't have been so high if we had been using the money thru the year, but then again I didn't wake up and smell the debt till around october ish, whenever I joined here shortly before that. So it prolly would have been that high. Next year we are not looking at much money from the govt at all, DH changed his number claimed and now we have nothing taken out going to the feds. which bothers him a lot, but I think with the addition of another kid we need the money, and we always get ALL of what we send back.

So I couldn't get my neighbor to let us drive this time to BJs so I am making a coconut cream pie to give them in return for the trip, I need to come up with more stuff cause they will prolly never let us drive, but I do like the savings by not driving, and they do go nearly every week themselves so why not share.
DH went to the grocery store on his way home Wednesday and got around 60$ worth of stuff, lots of beef there was a good sale, and of course since I wasn't there he got some, but I am looking forward to enjoing the steaks tonight .
Next Week we are going to pgh, so don't even want to think about the gas on the way there! but we miss the family, err not the ILs though, sigh I miss MY family, and the only way to get them is to stay with the ILs.

Well we fogot to go yesterday, sortof, we hate having to go a billion places in one day and I doubt we would have gone even if we remembered, DS was pretty in need of alone time by the time we got home, disapeared into DDs room and stayed there fo most of half an hour. So we need to go today butI don't want to mess up dinner on top of messing up yesterday, and tomorrow being DS' birthday, so I think I am going to ask my neighbor if she needs to go. (saving on gas if so .)
Also I think I may finally have got m DH to switch to a morning shower which will save on water, he has long curly hair that must be wet to 'fix' so he used to get a night shower using a lot o water! then get his head soaked in the morning, not as much water but he still had the faucet running for 15 minutes. I have suggested a switch many times, considering the amount of time he spends getting it all wet I think he could have more relaxing morening in the shower. He did it today and we will see if it lasts.

I got to hear my babys heartbeat , and that is 100% covered by insurance, they have to talk me into anything else. I don't really feel too much need for the bloodwork. I am about 12 weeks along (give or take .) and that puts my official due date at October 21st I think, so I should have an October baby to go beside my November DD .
We also had DD's DR apointment to check up on her, and she is fine, but her slight rash at the elbows isn't getting better so we have some samples of cortazone to use fr a day or two, should clear it up. Also doc mentioned an oldfashioned cornstarch to help with the heatrash (what hers starts at) sensitive skin girl, and she recomended a change in soap, from the baby J&J to dove I think. We have the other stuff so the bar of dove would cost more, but it is prolly cheaper in the long run, specialy if it reduces the eucerin need around here.
After the DR we stopped at the mall, looking or a bday gift for DS and a place to eat other than the car. We splurged on some fries after we ate the pb sandwhiches, both DH and I now hate pnut butter sandwhichs. Sort of a reward for not buying the whole meal out. a 3 something reward. But as starving and craving as I was after the midwife apointment, we did not stop for burgers. So I was partly good.

Well DD made it the better part of a mile, pure guestimate on that mile, I know it is 1/4 mile to neighbors and we went past that cross the bigger road and back into the community for a walk least the distance of her house (prolly more). Anyway I figure I'll borrow a pedometer or whatever those things to measure that sort of thing eventually, before I try to get htem to wak all the way to the park. actually DS made it with no troubles and so did I rather happy with that.)
Unfortunatly we have to spend money today we have to get some food, and extra food for Sundays birthday part, still no idea what to cook. We also have to spend loot on a bday present, I don't want to get him much but all we have is a clock, he will like it, but it isn't quite cool enough for a whole birthday. Oh and we made him a treasure map, we have to put some sort of treasure at the X.

Well they came, they ooed over kids, awed over lousy meatloaf. fixed a chair (needed a square screwdriver that we didn't have) offered to fix dishwasher (just a plastic piece the kids keep moving), took a bolt to fix the sink (works fine without the bolt), yelled at us for not replacing the stove burner (never use it anyway). And left behind loot. I hate that I need the loot for groceries, but I am soo happy that on DHs way home from the dentist be went to BJs so we were not out of a billion things when they got here.

I think I am going to ask my neighbor about carpooling to BJs. She isn't all that interested in money but if I can get her to do it it will save us a bit each week, and that will come in handy. Course it means one less trip out of the house for me everyother week, but I suppose I can sacrifice. (her car wont fit us all, niether will ours, so if she drove I would go, if DH drove he would, no kids)

So we had to go buy eggs to dye, just had too. Sorry CC bill gotta dye eggs. while we were out of course we bought some milk and DS read a book about fruits and vegetables and wanted to buy some hukkleberries, I have no idea where to find such a thing, but blueberries, blackberries and rasberries were on sale at the grocery store, so we got some of them for him to try (well he has already tried them, but didn't like them) Both kids loved them all (this time).
Then we had salad for dinner, DH says he is out of dressing, of course he didn't remember this at the store, so he says he will stop after work today and eat the leftover for lunch Saturday, I told him I would eat the salad, we just had the conversation about how we drive to much as it is!

Sunday, DH is home, we went to the store, yeah! but we bought everything we need. But umm boy was it a lot of money. I mean a lot! of money, a whole lot of money. And I can't even say it will keep us for awhile. And we left the eggs in the car, so we have no eggs for me to color for easter, and no eggs to bajke with and no eggs for eating. REally not happy about the eggs.
OH and I bought a chicken cheap about 2 something for the whole thing, but I got it home to cook it and the stupid thing was green on the inside and part of the skin, and part of the skin was brownish, really not fresh chicken looking. Not cool.

Well DH was very late comming home yesterday, I was a bit worried, but hopeful for overtime. Nope Lemonaid. I have been craving lemonaid and he decided to stop and get me some. He is sooo sweet. He did spend almost 2$ but he bought the koolaid and the flavoraid packets. The flavoraid is cheaper so he thought he would check and see if it was good enough (it isn't).
So yeah he spent money, but it really helps me out to have lemonaid.

Thursday disclaimer BJs s a warehouse store
Spend only 44$ between the grocery store and BJs, that was with buying pringles No the kids didn't ask I have been craving them.
We are still planning on heading to south charlotte to go to the library, didn't make it yesterday.
But we did make it to Nakato for dinner, I got some money in the mail for my birthday and I expect I will get more today. Plus while rearanging my dresser I found some loot. So a joint early Bday for DH and a Bday for me, we had an excelent dinner, and the kids loved the show. The only depressing part, we had to buy a meal for my DS . He is 2 he did share with his sister, but still I was hoping to squeeze a litle more time out of sharing with him.

DH cooked last night. We had eggs. A dozen of them, plus toast. We decided that if DS will eat three eggs plus toast now we will never be able to afford to feed him when he is a teenager! Plus DD ate the whites of 4 fried eggs and some of my scrambled eggs. (DH and DS eat them over easy, I have a thing about a one year old with dippy eggs, too messy for one) Oh and she had some toast too. We really do try to keep the grocery bill down by avoiding convenience foods and the like, but while the kids are in growth spurts it isn't working.
Which DS goes in a cycle, one week he EATS the next he SLEEPs (and eats) then he is fairly normal for a week while we discover nothing fits, and he gets ready to start all over again. I might be exagerating a bit but not by much, he is ALWAYS growing! Course normal is a relative term, dude eats almost as much as I do, which is a lot. I am not one of those girls who eat like a bird, more like a horse, always grazing, then settling in for a good meal a couple of times a day. (honest it look fine, not perfect but...). DD is following in my footsteps she is always eating too, but not as much as her big bro, she is downright tiny!
Anyway all this means we need more money in soon, or we will be paying off the cc for the next 30 years. Or we could move to a cheaper house, which isn't happening anytime soon, how do you sell a house when the builders will build one 3 blocks over for less?

Emergency run to the grocery storeI have not made my DH do that in like forever! He hates it, plus it costs extra gas to get there, plus if I could survive without it I would save the money of the item.
Well I promised a friend some fudge for his bithday and as a thank you forr taking some stuff to the good will, but I didn't have any sweetened condensed milk in the house. Terrible, so poor DH got the phone call at work to please stop and I felt sooo guilty (the birthdya btw is today). But poor sweet DH didn't complain a bit, Ok so I did get that look, the one that means he is not happy, but that was it, just a look.

---------Thursday disclaimer: get your moind out of the gutter it is a warehouse store.-----------
We spent way more than we should have last night at BJs and my DH followed it up with a trip to target, buying icecream, being nice to his wifes cravings, and a charlie brown movie.
Not a good spending day at all, but hopefully I can mke up for it with the food bill over the next few weeks. I managed to rearange my house routines to accomodate my troubles, and being in a cleaner house and having a clean kitchen will really help with cooking again.

Craving chicken nuggets again, This is not good, it means I need complex carbs and protien, I hate when my body isn't getting enough of something, I hate the constant cravings, and I hate even more when I cant fill them! and horor of horrors, I DONOT want peanut butter!!! or bacon, I WANT chicken nuggets!
The only thing this has to do with money is I can't afford chicken nuggets, nor do I drive to go get them if I could. And there is no chicken in the freezer to make any.

OK so we went to the grocery store and spent 35$ on Wednesday, then we went to BJs for milk eggs and yogurt, and that is actually ALL we got!!! YIPEEE, we made it in under our 50$ for the week, and we got a huge ham, that will be dinner Saturday - forgot about company, GN, when making my menu, but the Ham will be perfect, the sides are potluck. Also 2 badgs of potatoes, My DH is requesting potato soup. which is cool since I have been in the mood for it for a while.

Well we definatly went over budget yet again, but over biuget of 50 is way better than over budget of 100. So we are still getting better, but not perfect yet. The grand total was just over 70$ I am hoping next week it is less than 50 to balence it out.
We figured it out, if we hadn't bought shower curtains or papertowels we would have been under budget .
but now when we have company they wont look at the empty paper towel holder strangly, and our shower curtain was a bit holey.

Got milk, icky milk, but the kids like it. Also some cheese cheaper by the pound for pizza, some butter for popcorn, and I am not sure where the rest of the 54 went? oh peanuts and chocolate chips for trail mix. there has to be something else!
Also got my DD some tennis shoes and she walked the whole trip without walking out of them. and some more panties, she was always running out, she still has about 1 accident a day, which is 2 pairs, and she only had three, so more was a must.

We skipped because we aren’t in need of milk. So we are going to wait until Thursday (DH’s day off) and go to BJ’s to get milk. After all the kids will drink it. We will still have to stop at the store for yogurt, but that should be it. Hopefully I can keep it to 30$ to make up for the amount spent at BJs last time.

ICK! BJs milk is yucky! I can’t drink it without chocolate! And the chocolate is giving me a headache! That sucks cause it was only 2.70 something a gallon, compared to 4 something at the grocery store. The kids don’t seem to mind so I might just have to suffer with no milk for awhile . Terrible, I like milk!

Well today we spent a ton of money. We had to get the car inspected, and needed a few thing at BJs. We managed to avoid most of the impulse buys, though I did get some cashews, and we spent over 100, but a lot of that was milk, butter, pepperoni, and graham crackers. No diapers, for the first time in forever! My DD was wearing underwear at the store and she has been doing great, we still need a pull-up for bedtime, but I figure my DS only gave it up when we ran out so she will prolly too. We did get to spend cash cause my mother left us with some. And apparently the check for selling our laptop is in the mail, which is good news. And we will be getting one in the next month or two for selling my sons computer, we sold it to family so it will take some time, but they needed it.
